Our Story
The church "House of Prayer for All Nations", located in the highest city of Ukraine — Rakhiv, traces its beginnings back to 2006. However, long before that, a small group of believers gathered in homes for prayer in the city.
The unique features of the local culture, particularly its religious aspects, often posed challenges for those who stood at the origins of forming the congregation. Yet, the power of the Gospel and God’s boundless grace overcame every obstacle.
Over time, the Word of God began to spread among the large Roma community in the Usteryky neighborhood, which gave rise to the formation of a unique multiethnic church. Services were held in several languages, and soon the rented building could no longer accommodate all those who wanted to know Christ. The newly built chapel in Usteryky also quickly became full.
Testimonies about God’s works among the Roma people spread throughout Zakarpattia. To this day, our church remains an example of interethnic unity, spiritual renewal, and God’s glory. Over the years, we have witnessed the power of the living God — in the conversion of hearts, healing of souls and bodies, restoration of broken families, and the growth of true brotherly love.
A significant part of the congregation is deeply committed to theological growth. Many of them are students of the Christian Open Academy, the Ukrainian Theological Seminary, and other spiritual and educational institutions, demonstrating a sincere desire for knowledge, wisdom, and service.
